"Erectile Dysfunction and Incontinence
following Prostate Cancer Treatment"

Dr. Sydney Radomski

Dr. Sydney Radomski
MD, FRCSC

Dr. Radomski made a most delightful, informative and humorous
presentation to
an audience of over 50 members, wives and guests
at this meeting. Dr. Radomski's fame as well the subject of his talk
accounted for more than our usual presence of couples - certainly
more women were visible, taking an active interest and coming forth
with many a question for Dr. Radomski. It certainly confirms what we have
always known - that despite the shyness surrounding this subject erectile
dysfunction is quite prevalent and its treatment does hold great interest
and importance to the quality of life for both partners alike.

In the first part of presentation Dr. Radomski covered the causes of ED
and presented comparative occurrence statistics related to different types of Prostate
cancer treatment. He then described and compared the treatment options
using different types of pills, such as Viagra and Cialis, MUSE, injections, pumps and
inflatable penile prostheses, discussing in detail their use and side effects.

The 2nd part of his talk dealt with Incontinence following Prostate cancer treatment.
Once again Dr. Radomski explained the types and causes of Incontinence, it severity,
and compared the outcomes with different types of prostate cancer treatment.
He went to compare the different treatment options from the simple
to the more complex surgical procedures such as slings and implants and their effectiveness.
Most of these treatments have improved greatly over the years making Incontinence
treatment vastly better manageable today.

Quoting many funny anecdotes and stories from real life, Dr. Radomski's humorous
style kept the crowd roaring with laughter throughout.
His parting message to the crowd was to go home and have sex!

We had an excellent question and answer session, except a power outage
20 minutes prior to closure of the session caused an early termination to the evening
The building management requested us all to vacate for security reasons.
As result of the power glitch the Q& A digital recording file was unfortunately corrupted.

We are however able to provide the complete talk recordings and
the presentation slides for this session.
